There are many musically talented boys in South Africa whose parents simply
cannot afford to send them to a specialised Music School such as the Drakensberg
Boys’ Choir School. It is through the generosity of the National
Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (Lotto) that a number of boys have received
partial bursaries to assist with their tuition fees. The NLDTF are a partner
of the School for the next 3 years (2005 – 2007) providing long
term finances towards bursaries, this ensuring that these incredibly talented
boys receive the best tuition possible.
So when you next buy a Lotto ticket, remember that your money is being used for a good cause. Therefore we thank each of you who play the Lotto for making this funding possible for the boys.

Rand
Merchant Bank has been a strong supporter of the Drakensberg Boys’
Choir School over the years. More recently, through the FirstRand Foundation,
they have also contributed to the DBCS Educational Trust Fund. Their
support has helped a number of boys to attend the School and enabled
the erection of an electric fence around the School’s estate,
increasing the security on campus.
