Boarding Establishment

The Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School has embarked on an ambitious facility improvement project which has to date seen the construction of a new academic block, revamped ablution facilities and a renovated administrative wing. The project architect, Greg Bellars of GSP Architects in Pietermaritzburg has designed the new buildings in keeping with the aesthetics of the original school, maintaining the farm school theme, keeping the facilities in line with the Drakensberg environment and ensuring practical application of the facilities. The school through the DBCS Educational Trust has just recently begun construction of phase 1 of a new boarding establishment to accommodate 72 beds. This project is being completely funded by outside funders to whom we are most grateful. We extend our sincere thanks to:
The DBCS Educational Trust is currently looking for R750,000 in order to furnish this phase of the project. The DBCS Educational Trust is also focussing on Phase 2 of the project which will see all the boys being accommodated in new facilities. The target for this phase is R12 million.
